Public Grievance Meet: DC Issues Key Instructions for Immediate Relief

LATEHAR: weekly public grievance redressal meeting was held in the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Utkarsh Gupta, under his chairmanship.

People from both urban and rural areas of the district presented their various issues before the Deputy Commissioner. During the hearing, the Deputy Commissioner listened to each complainant patiently and assured them that all complaints would be promptly investigated and resolved at the earliest.

Mungari Devi, a resident of village/panchayat Karkat under Latehar block, submitted an application before the Deputy Commissioner requesting a house under the government housing scheme.
In her application, she stated that her mud house, which was already in a very dilapidated condition, has collapsed—creating a serious problem for her, especially during the winter season.

Taking cognizance of the matter, the Deputy Commissioner treated it seriously and forwarded the case to the concerned officer, directing them to conduct the necessary investigation as per norms and take swift action. He added that the beneficiary would be ensured the benefits of the housing scheme based on eligibility.

A total of 12 applications were received in today’s grievance redressal meeting, mostly related to employment, land acquisition, and land dispute issues. After hearing all complainants, the Deputy Commissioner forwarded the applications to the respective department officials and instructed them to carry out physical verification and resolve the issues as soon as possible.

The district administration is ensuring quick and sensitive action on the applications received during grievance redressal so that the needy can receive timely benefits of government schemes.

As per the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner, public grievance redressal meetings are organized every Tuesday and Friday at the offices of officials at district, subdivision, and block levels to ensure timely resolution of public issues and disposal of complaints.
