Republic Day 2026: District Administration Accelerates Republic Day Preparations in Latehar

LATEHAR: A district-level meeting was held today in the Collectorate Auditorium under the joint chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shri Utkarsh Gupta and Superintendent of Police Shri Kumar Gaurav, to review the preparations for the upcoming Republic Day 2026 celebrations.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the responsibilities of various departments to ensure the successful organization of the event. The Deputy Commissioner instructed all concerned departments to work in close coordination to conduct the ceremony in a dignified, well-organized, and timely manner.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to ensure proper arrangements during rehearsals and the flag-hoisting ceremony. He instructed all officers to work with full dedication to celebrate Republic Day with enthusiasm and grandeur.

The main Republic Day event will be held at the District Sports Stadium, Latehar, where flag hoisting, the national anthem, and parade will take place. The parade rehearsals will also be conducted at the main venue. The Deputy Commissioner assigned responsibilities to officials regarding stadium cleanliness, painting and beautification, loudspeaker arrangements, drinking water facilities, seating arrangements, fire safety arrangements, invitation of freedom fighters, security arrangements, parade management, and law and order.

While discussing departmental tableaux, he directed officials to design attractive and patriotic displays. He also instructed them to ensure suitable vehicles for the tableaux, smooth entry and exit at the venue, and timely completion of all required preparations.

The Superintendent of Police issued necessary instructions regarding security arrangements and directed that strict and foolproof security be ensured at and around the event venue.
