Latehar: A comprehensive review meeting of schemes being implemented by the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) was held under the chairmanship of DC Sandeep Kumar at the Collectorate auditorium on Thursday. The meeting focused on assessing the progress of various livelihood and women empowerment initiatives, with special emphasis on strengthening Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and ensuring the timely completion of all targets.
During the review, the DC examined the status of SHG formation, Village Organizations (VOs), Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), women empowerment initiatives, bank linkage, revolving funds, Community Investment Funds (CIF), skill development programmes and employment generation activities. He underscored that empowering Self-Help Groups remains a priority of the government and warned that any negligence in the implementation of welfare schemes would not be tolerated.

He said effective implementation of JSLPS initiatives would not only strengthen rural livelihoods but also create greater opportunities for self-employment and income generation across the district.
Reviewing key performance indicators, the DC Kumar instructed officials to achieve 100 percent completion of e-KYC for all eligible SHG members. He also emphasized the timely completion of the VO cut-off process and called for the expeditious disposal of pending approved loan disbursement cases. Stressing the importance of financial inclusion, he directed officials to ensure effective bank linkage of SHGs and achieve the targets fixed under the programme.
The DC Kumar further reviewed the progress of the Mudra Yojana and instructed officials to accelerate the application and credit disbursement process for eligible beneficiaries and entrepreneurs.
