The joint inspection was conducted by Food Safety Officers Aman Gupta and Sarita Jerai, along with District Consultant (NTCP) Nagendra Kumar, with support from personnel of Barwadih and Chhipadohar police stations. During the drive, several establishments, including Milan Sweets, Prince Misthan Bhandar, Vijay Hotel, Alimuddin General Store, Sonu General Store, Suresh Kirana Store, Parmanand Kirana Store and Vishal Kirana Store, were found operating without valid food licences.

As part of the district’s tobacco control campaign under the slogan “Choose Life, Not Tobacco,” officials also cracked down on the illegal sale of tobacco products in the area. A fine of ₹2,700 was imposed on violators found selling tobacco products in contravention of prescribed regulations.

District authorities reiterated that strict action will be taken against establishments violating food safety norms and tobacco control regulations.
