Garhwa: In a political shift in Garhwa, RJD working district president Karib Ansari joined the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) along with several supporters at the residence of former state minister and JMM central general secretary Mithilesh Kumar Thakur in Kalyanpur on Tuesday.
Thakur welcomed Ansari and the other new entrants with garlands, expressing confidence that their induction would strengthen the party’s organisational base in the district.
Explaining his decision, Ansari cited Thakur’s leadership and development initiatives in the Garhwa Assembly constituency as key factors behind his move to the JMM. He said he was encouraged by the former minister’s approach to public service and regional development.
Thakur said the JMM remained committed to public welfare and the rights of disadvantaged communities. He welcomed Ansari and his supporters, saying their association with the party would reinforce its organisational activities in the region.
Ansari’s departure from the RJD marks a local political realignment in district. The development comes as parties continue efforts to consolidate their support base in the region.
