KN Tripathi Urges for Free and Fair Municipal Elections

PALAMAU: Former Minister and senior Congress leader K.N. Tripathi has called upon the Palamau district administration to ensure that the upcoming municipal elections are conducted in a fair, transparent and peaceful manner. Tripathi met the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and the Superintendent of Police (SP) on Tuesday, where he formally submitted a letter highlighting his concerns and expectations regarding the election process.

During the meeting, Tripathi emphasized that free and fair elections are the cornerstone of democracy, and it is the duty of the administration to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process. He urged the authorities to take strict measures to prevent any form of intimidation, malpractice or undue influence that could affect voters or candidates.

The DC and SP assured Tripathi that the administration is committed to conducting the municipal elections smoothly and will implement all necessary steps to uphold law and order. They also reiterated that maintaining a peaceful environment for voters remains a top priority.
