New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of Manoj Prasad, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Garhwa, as a Judge of the Jharkhand High Court, marking a significant development in the state’s judicial circles.
The recommendation was made by the Supreme Court Collegium along with the names of Akhil Kumar and Ram Sharma, who have also been recommended for elevation to the Jharkhand High Court.
Manoj Prasad has been serving as the Principal District and Sessions Judge in Garhwa and has been associated with the district judiciary in various capacities.
The final appointment will be subject to completion of the constitutional and administrative procedures governing the elevation of judicial officers to High Courts.
