Awareness is the Best Protection’: Devesh Tiwari Addresses Students at PM SHRI KV

Ramgarh: DISHA Member Devesh Tiwari visited PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ramgarh Cantt, where he interacted with students, teachers, and school authorities, stressing the importance of safety awareness, responsible citizenship, and character building among the youth. The visit focused not only on academic excellence but also on critical social issues such as road safety, cybercrime prevention, and the ongoing fight against substance abuse (Nasha Mukti).

During his visit, Tiwari inspected various facilities of the school, including classrooms, laboratories, the library, and sports infrastructure. He appreciated the institution’s efforts in providing quality education under the PM SHRI initiative and preparing students to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world through innovation, discipline, and holistic development.

Addressing a gathering of students, Tiwari highlighted the growing need for awareness about road safety, urging young people to strictly follow traffic regulations, wear helmets and seat belts, and discourage reckless driving. He noted that road accidents continue to claim thousands of lives every year and said that informed and responsible citizens can play a major role in making roads safer.

The DISHA Member also spoke extensively on the rising threat of cybercrime, cautioning students against online fraud, identity theft, phishing scams, and the misuse of social media. He encouraged them to cultivate responsible digital habits, safeguard personal information, and remain vigilant while navigating the internet. “In today’s digital age, awareness is the first line of defence against cyber threats,” he remarked.

Another key aspect of his interaction was the message of Nasha Mukti (Drug De-addiction). Tiwari urged students to stay away from tobacco, alcohol, and narcotic substances, emphasizing that addiction not only destroys individual lives but also weakens families and societies. He called upon the youth to become ambassadors of a healthy and drug-free India, spreading awareness among their peers and communities.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who engaged in discussions and shared their views on social responsibility, safety, and nation-building. Teachers and school authorities also welcomed the initiative, describing such interactions as valuable platforms for sensitizing students about real-world challenges beyond the classroom.

Speaking on the occasion, Tiwari reiterated that educational institutions play a vital role in shaping informed, responsible, and socially conscious citizens. He said schools must remain at the forefront of campaigns promoting public safety, cyber awareness, environmental responsibility, and a drug-free society.

The school administration expressed gratitude for his visit and guidance. The interaction concluded with a collective pledge by students and staff to promote safe practices on roads, remain alert against cyber threats, and contribute towards the vision of a healthier and addiction-free society.

The visit reaffirmed the role of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Ramgarh Cantt not only as a centre of academic excellence but also as a platform for nurturing responsible citizens committed to the well-being and progress of the nation.
