Advanced Physiotherapy & Ayurvedic Panchakarma Centre Inaugurated at Garhwa

Garhwa: In a development that promises to strengthen specialized healthcare services in the district, Chaudhary General and Paralysis Hospital on Sunday inaugurated a state-of-the-art Physiotherapy and Ayurvedic Panchakarma Centre in Sonpurwa within the town, bringing advanced rehabilitation care within the reach of thousands of patients suffering from paralysis and other neurological ailments.

The facility was formally inaugurated by senior BJP leader Alakhnath Pandey, MLA representative Rinku Tiwari, and Municipal Council Chairman Ashish Kumar Soni alias Daulat Soni, who jointly unveiled the centre in the presence of local residents, healthcare professionals, social workers and public representatives.

Describing the initiative as a major healthcare intervention for the region, the guests said the absence of specialized rehabilitation services had long compelled patients to travel to cities such as Ranchi, Patna and Varanasi for treatment. They expressed confidence that the newly established centre would not only reduce the financial burden on families but also ensure timely access to quality medical care within the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kuldev Chaudhary, Chairman of the hospital, said the institution has adopted an integrated treatment model combining modern physiotherapy, Ayurvedic Panchakarma therapies and conventional medical care. The centre will cater to patients suffering from paralysis, arthritis, joint disorders, chronic back pain, sciatica and various nerve-related diseases.

“Recovery from neurological disorders requires continuous rehabilitation and expert supervision. Our objective is to make such services affordable and accessible for every patient, irrespective of financial background,” Dr. Chaudhary said.

He further announced that admitted patients would be provided free accommodation and meals during the course of treatment, a move aimed at supporting economically weaker families seeking long-term rehabilitation.

Adding further strength to its medical team, the hospital has engaged renowned Cardio-Neuro Physician Dr. P.K. Verma of Patna, who will provide 24-hour emergency services. He will be assisted by Physiotherapist Dr. Pappu Yadav and Ayurvedic Panchakarma specialist Dr. Atulya Shankar Mishra, creating a multidisciplinary healthcare framework focused on comprehensive recovery and patient rehabilitation.

Healthcare observers present at the event noted that the convergence of physiotherapy and traditional Panchakarma therapies could offer improved outcomes for patients recovering from paralysis and other debilitating neurological conditions. The facility is being viewed as one of the few dedicated centres in the region providing such integrated treatment under one roof.

Hospital Director Dr. Julie Kumari thanked the dignitaries and attendees for their support and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to delivering patient-centric healthcare services. She said the hospital would continue to upgrade its facilities and adopt advanced treatment practices to meet the growing healthcare needs of the region.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Vishwanath Yadav, Virendra Prasad Yadav, JMM leader Arvind Yadav, Ramna Up-Pramukh Ravindra Kumar Chaudhary, Harendra Chaudhary, Sanjay Chaudhary, Bideshi Chaudhary, Ankit Gupta, Naresh Chaudhary, Satyaprakash Chaudhary, Kuldeep Thakur, Rajkishore Chaudhary, Uday Narayan Chaudhary, Sanjay Yadav, Aarti Kumari, Pushpa Kumari, Neha Kumari and Sanjani Kumari, along with several prominent citizens, medical practitioners and local residents.
