Bardiha: A free Aadhaar service centre was inaugurated on Wednesday on the first floor of the Bardiha block office to make Aadhaar enrolment and update services more accessible to local residents.
Block Development Officer Pravin Singh said residents had faced difficulties obtaining and updating Aadhaar cards, while the administration had received complaints of illegal charges being demanded for the services. The new centre has been opened to provide assistance free of cost and improve transparency, he said.
Singh urged residents to visit the centre and make use of the services. Deputy Block Chief Satyendra Paswan, panchayat samiti member Arvind Rajwar, Block Animal Husbandry Officer Amit Kumar, social workers Pushp Ranjan and Lala Singh, Akhilesh Chaudhary, and other local representatives and residents attended the inauguration.
