Surprise Late-Night Raid at Garhwa Divisional Jail Finds No Prohibited Items

Garhwa: In a strong demonstration of its commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring prison security, the district administration and police conducted a surprise late-night inspection and intensive search operation on Sunday at Garhwa Divisional Jail. The operation was jointly led by Deputy Commissioner Pashupati Nath Mishra and Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar.

During the unannounced inspection, officials carried out a thorough examination of various wards, barracks, and other key areas within the jail premises. The search focused on assessing security arrangements, reviewing inmate-related facilities, and detecting the presence of any prohibited items that could pose a threat to prison discipline and safety.

Authorities reported that the extensive search did not result in the recovery of any banned or suspicious materials. Officials described the overall situation inside the jail as normal, secure, and satisfactory.

The district administration stated that periodic inspections of Garhwa Divisional Jail have been mandated as part of a broader strategy to strengthen law and order and ensure strict compliance with prison regulations. Similar surprise inspections and search drives will continue in the future whenever deemed necessary.

According to the administration, the primary objective of the joint operation was to keep the jail environment secure, disciplined, and free from prohibited materials, thereby enabling prison authorities to discharge their responsibilities effectively and without disruption.
