Soldiers Reaffirm Commitment to Welfare and Unity at Dussehra Milan Meet

Palamau: The Ramyabhoomi Tribal Sainik Parivar Kalyan Foundation organised a Dussehra get-together meeting at its office in Medininagar, Palamu, on Sunday. The meeting brought together ex-servicemen and serving military personnel from across the Palamu division to discuss welfare initiatives, legal assistance, organisational coordination and community service.

During the meeting, members agreed to participate in a religious and cultural programme scheduled for October 24 at Tukbera, at the invitation of ex-serviceman Vikas Singh. Ex-servicemen from across the division will be invited to the gathering to strengthen interaction and participation among members.

The foundation also decided to organise a fruit distribution programme during the Chhath festival for devotees observing the fast, particularly those in need. District units will mobilise voluntary contributions to support the initiative and may undertake additional welfare activities according to their resources and local requirements.

Addressing concerns related to legal and administrative difficulties, Bahadur Prasad Gupta, the foundation’s legal adviser-cum-deputy treasurer, assured members of legal guidance and assistance in cases involving disputes, injustice or exploitation. He said the organisation would endeavour to support serving personnel and veterans facing such challenges.

To improve coordination, the foundation decided that members would receive advance information about meetings and programmes. Executive committee meetings will henceforth be held quarterly, with venues rotating among the districts of the Palamu division to facilitate wider participation and allow district units to contribute to organisational decisions.

The meeting also highlighted the need to improve media outreach through print publications and digital platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp and YouTube. Members said wider publicity would help communicate the foundation’s welfare activities, connect with more serving and retired personnel, and increase public awareness of its initiatives.

Those present included foundation patron Ramji Tiwari, secretary Vikas Tiwari, treasurer Naval Kishore Pandey, legal adviser-cum-deputy treasurer Bahadur Prasad Gupta, organising secretary Shaukat Ansari, Palamu district president Ravindra Thakur, Garhwa district president Ashok Tiwari, Latehar district president Ashish Singh, Kameshwar Dubey, Nand Gopal Tiwari, Rajmuni Singh and serving soldier Sunil Kumar Yadav.

The meeting concluded with discussions on strengthening support for military personnel and their families while expanding the foundation’s social welfare activities.
