Sabki Aas Subhash: A Literary Tribute to Palamau’s Guiding Light

PALAMAU: A heartfelt tribute to retired educator Professor Subhash Chandra Mishra unfolded today at Rajwadiha Middle School, where his memoir Sabki Aas Subhash was officially launched. Edited by his disciple Parshuram Tiwari, the book offers a rich collection of memoirs, anecdotes, poetry, and reflections celebrating the distinguished teacher’s profound impact on students and the community.

A retired English Professor from GLA College in Medininagar, where he served as Head of the newly established unit of then NPU. Well respected social activist and community mentor, he is already the author of several works, notably Koel Ki Dhara, released on his 80th birthday in June 2024 even now he continues to inspire the people around.

The event was graced by Inder Singh Namdhari, former Speaker of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, as the Chief Guest. In his address, Namdhari praised Prof. Mishra’s lifelong dedication to education and social values, calling him “a guiding light for generations.”

Sanjay Kumar, SDM Garhwa, delivered the Keynote Speech, emphasizing the importance of teachers in shaping society and lauding the memoir as “a treasure of experiences and inspiration.”
Avinash Deo, noted social figure and Guest of Honor, also shared his reflections on Mishra’s influence in the region.

Published in late November 2025 by Prakhar Goonj Publications, Sabki Aas Subhash spans 198 pages and compiles 64 writings—memoirs, poems, and narratives—that illuminate Mishra’s philosophy and influence. The anthology highlights his role in shaping generations with compassion, discipline, and academic excellence.

Speaking at the launch, editor Parshuram Tiwari described the book as a mosaic of voices—from students, peers, and community—each echoing how Prof. Mishra became a beacon of hope and guidance. He emphasized the memoir’s enduring relevance for today’s youth and aspiring educators.

While speaking to The Garhwa Post, Prabhat Mishra, Sr. Journalist at Amar Ujala and currently based in New Delhi, shared that the book is available online and will soon be in bookstores and digital platforms. He expressed hope that readers of all ages will draw inspiration from the humbling journey of a lifelong teacher and humanist.

The occasion saw the presence of several dignitaries, including journalists, authors, social activists, filmmakers, artists, and family members of Prof. Mishra. Among them were Prof. KK Mishra, SK Mishra, Prem Bhasin, Poet Harivansh Prabhat, Ravi Shankar Pandey, Kaushik Malik, Anuj Tripathi, and many more, making the event a memorable celebration of literature and legacy.
