NEW DELHI: On the august occasion of National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of the illustrious spiritual luminary Swami Vivekananda, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, shall grace the concluding plenary session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 at around 4:30 PM on 12th January at the iconic Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
In this momentous congregation, the Prime Minister will engage in an interactive discourse with nearly 3,000 youth delegates drawn from every corner of the nation, alongside distinguished representatives of the global Indian diaspora. Select participants, having emerged through a rigorous evaluative process, will present their final expositions across ten thematic tracks, articulating youth-driven perspectives and actionable propositions on domains of profound national significance.
The programme shall also witness the ceremonial release of the Essay Compilation of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, an anthology of select writings authored by young visionaries, encapsulating their reflections on India’s developmental imperatives and long-term nation-building aspirations.
Now in its second edition, the Dialogue has evolved into a premier national platform fostering structured engagement between India’s youth and the highest echelons of national leadership. It resonates with the Prime Minister’s clarion call, articulated on Independence Day, to involve one lakh youth in politics beyond partisan affiliations, thereby empowering them with a national forum to translate their ideas for Viksit Bharat into tangible reality.
The 2026 edition, convened from 9th to 12th January, has witnessed unprecedented participation from over 50 lakh youth nationwide, culminating in the convergence of young leaders at the national championship. These delegates were meticulously selected through a three-tier meritocratic process comprising a nationwide digital quiz, an essay challenge, and state-level vision presentations.
Building upon the resounding success of its inaugural edition, the Dialogue has been enriched with significant innovations, including the introduction of Design for Bharat, Tech for Viksit Bharat – Hack for a Social Cause, expanded thematic engagements, and, for the first time, international participation. These additions have further amplified the Dialogue’s scope, stature, and impact, positioning it as a cornerstone in the architecture of India’s youth-led developmental journey.
