MLA SN Tiwari meets DIG Palamau

Palamau: In a significant move aimed at addressing unresolved issues from 2021, Garhwa MLA Satyendra Nath Tiwari, on Monday met with the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Palamau Range, urging a thorough investigation into several pending cases. The MLA emphasized the need for justice and transparency, particularly in matters involving alleged corruption and administrative negligence.

In addition to meeting the DIG, Tiwari had earlier met with the newly appointed DC of Garhwa, Dinesh Kumar Yadav, to discuss broader governance issues and demand action against officials allegedly involved in corruption.

During the meeting, Tiwari highlighted irregularities in the implementation of MGNREGA schemes across multiple panchayats. He claimed that despite projects not being executed on the ground, full payments had been released, indicating possible financial misconduct.

The MLA also referenced a recent FIR lodged against him and a local mukhiya, Jagjivan Ram, for allegedly misbehaving with a contractor. The FIR, filed at Meral police station, includes charges under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). However, he denies the allegations and called for an impartial probe into the incident.

The MLA’s outreach to law enforcement and administrative officials signals a push for accountability and resolution of long-standing grievances in the region.
