Lok Adalat Disposes of 41 Cases, Generates 2.43 Lakh Revenue

Garhwa: In a significant push towards speedy justice, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), successfully organized its monthly Lok Adalat on Friday, disposing of 41 cases across multiple categories and generating a revenue of 2,43,500.

The Lok Adalat was conducted under the guidance of the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority and supervised by Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA Garhwa, Manoj Prasad.

To ensure efficient case disposal, seven benches were constituted, including those at the Sub-Divisional Civil Court in Nagar Untari. The benches were presided over by senior judicial officers including Manoj Chandra Jha, Shivnath Tripathi, Abhinav Tripathi, and Monika Prasad, among others.

Each bench was supported by designated advocates, ensuring a collaborative and streamlined approach to dispute resolution. Legal professionals including Praveen Kumar Sahu, Niranjan Dubey, Anita Ranjan, Uttam Kumar Bharti, Vikas Kumar Dwivedi, and Manoj Kumar Chaube actively participated in the proceedings.

According to official data, the Lok Adalat handled 18 criminal compoundable cases, 14 electricity-related disputes, and 9 matters under Permanent Lok Adalat, all of which were amicably settled during the session.

Officials stated that the initiative not only helped reduce the burden on courts but also provided litigants with a quicker, cost-effective resolution mechanism.

Judicial officers, lawyers, court staff, and litigants were present in large numbers, contributing to the smooth conduct of the proceedings.

The event concluded successfully, reinforcing the role of Lok Adalats as an effective tool for alternative dispute resolution in the region.
