HAZARIBAG: The local police busted a racket that was extorted money from women for their photos. The police arrested seven criminals and also seized eight mobile phones from their possession. It had become the big issues for the cop to hunt them following complaints that they were posting photos of women on pornographic sites and later demanding money from them to remove.
These photographs were belong to good family from their social sites such as facebook, Instagram etc. Revealing the modus operandi, Karthik S, the Superintendent of Police said that accused had registered themselves as sex service providers on sites i.e. Oklute and Skokka. If someone asks for service, they were taking money in advance and blocking their numbers.
He also added that they posted photos on the website and called the family members to extort the money to remove from the portal. Police officials said that few members of the family have already paid them against the same. By doing this act, the gang had already collected more than 8-10 Lakhs rupees from the victims.
