Garhwa to Hold #DownloadECINet Social Media Campaign on November 5

Garhwa: A one-hour social media campaign to promote voter registration and awareness of the ECINet app will be held across Garhwa district from noon to 1 p.m. on November 5, 2026, as part of the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll.

District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Pashupati Nath Mishra has asked election officials, education department officers, media and social media nodal officers, educational institutions, and residents to take part in the #DownloadECINet campaign.

The campaign will use Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media platforms to inform residents about the ECINet app and the process for registering as a voter.

DC Mishra said eligible citizens who turn 18 on or before October 1, 2026, and whose names are not included in the draft electoral roll may apply by November 15. Applications can be submitted through the relevant Booth Level Officer (BLO) or online by filing Form 6 along with the required declaration.

Colleges, plus two schools, and other higher and technical education institutions have been asked to encourage students to download the ECINet app. They have also been directed to help eligible students who are not yet registered to submit Form 6 and the required declaration through the app.

DC Mishra urged officials, educational institutions, students, young people, and residents to share the campaign message during the designated hour and encourage eligible citizens to register.

He said every eligible citizen’s participation strengthens democracy and called on residents to help ensure that no one is left out of the electoral roll.
