Garhwa DCC and DLRC Meeting Reviews Financial Inclusion and Banking Performance

Garhwa: The third quarterly meeting (2025–26) of the District Consultative Committee (DCC) and the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) was held on Tuesday at the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Pashupatinath Mishra. The meeting reviewed the district’s performance in financial inclusion, credit flow, government schemes, and banking services.

The DDC assessed compliance with earlier directives and reviewed key indicators such as CD Ratio, Annual Credit Plan (ACP) progress, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), PMEGP, MSME, PMFME, RSETI activities, and the Women Lakhpati Farmer Scheme. Banks were instructed to work actively towards achieving their assigned targets and ensure wider outreach of schemes like PMEGP, KCC, and Mudra loans.

Garhwa’s CD Ratio saw improvement—from 44.08% in Q2 of FY 2025–26 to 46% by December 2025. A list of the top and bottom five banks was prepared based on performance. Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Ujjivan SFB, Indian Overseas Bank, ESAF SFB, and ICICI Bank were identified as top performers, while Punjab National Bank, Union Bank, State Bank of India, IDBI Bank, and Indian Bank showed poor performance and were asked to improve urgently.

Progress of financial inclusion schemes, BC outlet functionality, expansion of services in unbanked rural centers, and SARFAESI cases were also reviewed. The meeting emphasized timely loan sanctioning, service delivery improvement, and better coverage of social security schemes.

A symbolic distribution of ₹2‑lakh cheques under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana was carried out for five beneficiaries.

The DDC urged all departments and banks to strengthen rural banking access and ensure beneficiaries receive timely support for entrepreneurship and livelihood development.
