Delhi Health Minister Tested Corona Positive, His Health Deteriorates

NEW DELHI: Satyendar Jain, Delhi health minister was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital and later shifted to Max Hospital in Saket, New Delhi. He was shifted because Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital has not been approved to conduct plasma therapy.

Initially, Jain had high fever and was suffering a sudden drop in oxygen level. The 55-year-old leader’s test result came positive on Wednesday evening after a second test. He has now developed pneumonia and his breathing difficulties have aggravated further.

Satyendar Jain will remain a cabinet minister in the Delhi government but without any portfolio until he recovers. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been given the charge of health, public works department, power and other departments.
