Garhwa: A Physiotherapy and Panchakarma Centre will be inaugurated at Chaudhary General and Paralysis Hospital in Sonpurwa, on Rehla Road near Harihara Bridge, on October 25. Dr Kuldeo Choudhary said the initiative aims to expand access to rehabilitation and traditional Ayurvedic healthcare services for people of region and neighbouring areas.
Palamu Member of Parliament Vishnu Dayal Ram will attend the inauguration as the chief guest, while Garhwa MLA Satyendra Nath Tiwari and Nagar Panchayat Chairman Ashish Soni will be present as special guests.
According to Dr Kuldeo Choudhary, the new centre is intended to strengthen the range of healthcare services available at the hospital, particularly for patients requiring physiotherapy, physical rehabilitation and supportive care. The facility will also provide Panchakarma services based on traditional Ayurvedic practices.
Physiotherapy can help patients improve mobility, restore physical function and support recovery following injuries or certain medical conditions. Panchakarma procedures, meanwhile, are part of the traditional Ayurvedic system and are selected according to individual needs and professional assessment.
Dr Choudhary said the centre would add another healthcare facility for residents of surrounding areas, offering access to physiotherapy and Panchakarma services closer to home.
