GARHWA: BSKD Public School came alive with energy and excitement as it hosted its much-anticipated Annual Sports Meet, a two-day celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all grades, turning the campus into a vibrant arena of competition and camaraderie.

The event commenced with a ceremonial torch lighting and flag hoisting, attended by Deputy Commissioner Dinesh Yadav and Superintendent of Police Aman Kumar, who added prestige to the occasion.

This two-day sports meet was not merely a showcase of athletic talent—it was a celebration of character-building, resilience, and school unity. With nearly 700 participants and inclusive events for parents, it exemplified BSKD Public School’s approach to holistic education—where academics and athletics thrive together.

The opening ceremony began with a march-past by all houses, followed by the lighting of the sports torch, symbolizing the spirit of fair play. Events on Day 1 included 100m and 200m sprints, long jump, shot put, and relay races, drawing loud cheers from the audience. The highlight was the inter-house relay, where the Blue House clinched victory in a nail-biting finish.

Another-day, featured team sports such as football, volleyball, and kho-kho, alongside fun races for juniors like sack race and three-legged race. Parents joined in for a special tug-of-war, adding a festive touch to the proceedings. The closing ceremony honored winners with medals and certificates, while the Principal emphasized the importance of sports in building resilience and leadership.

On Day 2’s culmination, SDM Sanjay Kumar led proceedings. He praised the students, noting that their sportsmanship, discipline, and talent were exemplary. Award distribution included medals and certificates for first, second, and third place achievers. Parents also participated enthusiastically, enhancing the familial and community spirit of the event. School Director Sanjay Soni echoed this sentiment, highlighting how sports instill discipline and life skills.
