Palamau: The Ramyabhoomi Tribal Armed Forces Family Welfare Foundation on Sunday has announced a major organisational expansion plan along with a series of public welfare initiatives following a high-level meeting held at its Divisional Office.
The meeting was presided over by Patron Ramji Tiwari and attended by members of the Central Executive Committee, along with district representatives from Palamu, Garhwa, and Latehar. Several key decisions were taken to strengthen the organisational structure and enhance the engagement of both serving and retired armed forces personnel across the region.
A significant focus of the meeting was on expanding the Foundation’s grassroots presence. The committee approved the launch of a membership drive across all blocks in the three districts. Organisational Secretaries and Block Presidents have been tasked with identifying and enrolling ex-servicemen and currently serving soldiers. The Foundation also plans to develop a comprehensive database to streamline coordination and improve welfare outreach.
To ensure better communication among members, district leadership has been directed to establish WhatsApp groups at the block level, enabling greater participation in upcoming programmes and activities.
The committee reviewed the roles of newly appointed office bearers and expressed confidence in their ability to execute future initiatives efficiently. Members stressed the importance of stronger coordination between district units to enhance the Foundation’s impact across the Palamu Division.
As part of its welfare initiatives, the Foundation will organise blood donation camps on June 14 to mark World Blood Donor Day. These camps are planned to be held simultaneously across Palamu, Garhwa, and Latehar districts. In addition, preparations are underway for large-scale observance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and Independence Day, with plans to celebrate these occasions more extensively than in previous years.
The meeting also decided to initiate an outreach programme aimed at strengthening ties with government institutions. Under this initiative, a delegation of Foundation members will meet senior officials, including the Chief Minister and representatives from the District Soldiers’ Welfare Office, to present memorandums and highlight issues concerning armed forces personnel and their families.
Financial matters were reviewed during the session, with Treasurer Nawal Kishore Pandey presenting details of income and expenditure. The committee also discussed funds linked to serving soldier Rahul Tiwari. It was decided that the matter would remain at his discretion, with the expectation that complete financial records and reconciliations would be submitted for closure.
To further streamline its operations, the Foundation emphasised the need to establish district-level offices. While the existing Divisional Office will continue to function for Palamu, units in Garhwa and Latehar have been asked to identify suitable locations for setting up their offices. These centres will be used for administrative activities, monthly reviews, and ceremonial events such as national flag hoisting.
Concluding the meeting, the Executive Committee urged all district units to hold regular monthly review meetings and prepare structured action plans to ensure timely execution of programmes.
Prominent members present included Vice President Sunil Kumar Singh, Secretary Bikas Tiwari, Treasurer Nawal Kishore Pandey, Legal Advisor Bahadur Gupta, Organisational Secretaries Shaukat Ansari and Ramanuj Gupta, General Secretary Pradeep Mishra, and district presidents Ravindra Thakur (Palamu), Ashok Tiwari (Garhwa), and Ashish Singh (Latehar), alongside several other office bearers.
