Latehar: Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar distributed tractors and agricultural equipment to beneficiary groups and a cooperative society under the Jharkhand government’s Chief Minister’s Tractor Distribution Scheme.
The recipients were Shanti Mahila Sakhi Mandal and Roshni Mahila Sakhi Mandal, both associated with JSLPS and based in Herhanj block, and the Matsyajivi Sahyog Samiti Limited of Garu block.

The scheme aims to connect women’s self-help groups and cooperatives with farm mechanisation, strengthen their financial independence and make agricultural work more efficient in rural areas. The initiative is expected to help reduce farming costs and increase group incomes.
Officials present at the distribution included ITDA Director Sarojini Annie Tirkey, Additional Collector Salman Jafar Khizri, District Land Conservation Officer Chandra Kishore Kumar, District Public Relations Officer Dr Chandan and District Sports Officer Avinesh Kumar Tripathi.
