Kandi/Garhwa: Baliyari village in the Kandi block is all set to host the Laxmi Narayan Mahayagya, beginning from April 18, drawing devotees from nearby villages and beyond. Preparations are underway as the organising committee and villagers are working together to make the religious event successful and memorable.
According to the organisers, the Mahayagya will be held with traditional Vedic rituals and chants, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere in the village. Renowned priests and scholars are expected to lead the Yagya proceedings, during which offerings will be made to invoke blessings of Lord Laxmi Narayan for peace, prosperity and wellbeing of society.
The Mahayagya will be conducted under the guidance of Swami Sunder Raj Maharaj, who will serve as the main Yagyakarta. Along with him, several eminent saints and spiritual scholars will deliver discourses during the event. These include Shadguru Narayanacharya Swami Maharaj, Devnarayanacharya Maharaj, Maha Mandleshwar Premshankar Maharaj, and Krishnanand Shashtri, whose pravachans are expected to enrich the spiritual experience of the devotees.
Vedic rituals, chanting of sacred mantras and traditional offerings will mark the Mahayagya, seeking blessings of Lord Laxmi Narayan for peace, prosperity and social harmony. Elaborate arrangements are being made at the Yagya site, including decoration, sanitation, drinking water and seating facilities.
The organising committee has appealed to devotees to participate in large numbers and maintain discipline, making the Mahayagya a symbol of collective faith and unity.
