GARHWA: The festival of Varsh Pratipada, marking the Indian New Year, was celebrated with devotion and cultural enthusiasm at the Jodwaniya Shiv Temple on Thursday. The event was organised by the district unit of Sanskar Bharati, a national organisation working for the promotion of Indian art, culture and literature.
The celebrations began early in the morning as art practitioner Sandhya Suman offered arghya to the rising Sun, followed by a traditional aarti invoking blessings for a prosperous New Year. The temple premises resonated with Vedic chants, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere for devotees and participants.
