AJSU Party to Protest Against Fee Hike by Schools in Garhwa: Deepak Sharma

GARHWA: The All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) Party has announced a protest against the recent increase in school fees and additional charges imposed by private educational institutions in Garhwa district.

Addressing the media, District AJSU President Deepak Sharma urged students and parents to come forward and participate in the protest. He emphasized that collective action is necessary to ensure that educational institutions do not exploit families in the name of quality education.

Party leaders have also expressed strong concern over what they describe as an “unjustified financial burden” on parents, especially those from middle- and low-income families. According to AJSU representatives, several schools have significantly raised tuition fees along with transportation, examination, and miscellaneous charges without proper consultation with stakeholders.

“The continuous rise in fees is putting immense pressure on parents. We appeal to all students and guardians to join us in this protest so that our voices are heard,” Sharma said.

The party has called for immediate intervention by the district administration to regulate school fees and ensure transparency in the fee structure. They have also demanded the formation of a monitoring committee to oversee the functioning of private schools in the area.

AJSU has announced that it will organize a peaceful protest in Garhwa in the coming days, urging parents, students, and concerned citizens to join the movement. The party warned that if their demands are not addressed, they may intensify their agitation.

Meanwhile, parents have welcomed the move, hoping it will bring relief and accountability to the education system.
