NEW DELHI: An alleged ecosystem is engaged in spreading disinformation with full force over Vivek Agnihotri’s recent movie ‘The Kashmir Files’ which is based on 1990 Kashmiri Hindus genocide and subsequently it turned as an exodus. Over thousands of Kashmiri Pandits were bound to leave their ancestorial place just because of the rise of terrorism in the valley that time.
The movie being levelled for promoting Islamophobia in the country. However, in the meantime, there are many voices coming from the valley itself supporting the movie The Kashmir Files, exposing the terrorism and nexus between the political system and terrorism then which leads to have a massive genocide of Hindus there in 1990.
A prominent face from valley, Javed Beigh, has apologised publicly to the Kashmiri Pandits for the mass slaughter with folded hands. He has also mentioned that generations of his father had made a mistake by not telling the truth, now it is time for the Kashmiri Muslims to atleast repentance of the sins which were done together.
He went on to say that “Our siter Girja Tikoo was cut into pieces while she was alive” and this all have happened on the name of ‘Azadi’. Those guns were picked up by the local Muslims, given by Pakistani.
“I am disgusted at shameless denial of forced Kashmiri Pandit exodus by political class of Kashmir & by wider Kashmiri Muslim civil society. It is therefore even more significant that credible Kashmiri institutions & prominent Muslims come forward & acknowledge our sins of 1990,” he tweeted.
The plight of Kashmiri Pandits came under the spotlight after ‘The Kashmiri Files’ was released earlier this month. The film is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits who had to leave the Valley amid a slew of killings in the early 90s.
While Javed Beigh firmly says this is fact and not the propaganda which is being claimed by many from across the spectrums. “The mistakes that our previous generations have made, as an educated young man, I have to accept that those mistakes have happened. They have been crimes and for that, we should join hands and apologise to the Kashmiri Pandits in public, collectively.
