GARHWA: The 24th District Inter-School Cricket Tournament continued at the grounds of Govind +2 High School, in the district headquarters, where Medical Officer and social activist Dr. Kuldev Chaudhary met the players and distributed prizes.
In a heartwarming moment, Dr. Chaudhary also celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake among players and spectators. He received warm wishes and greetings from all present.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chaudhary emphasized the importance of sports, stating that “through sports, physical, mental, and social capacities are developed. Sports help maintain balance, keep the body healthy, reduce stress, and improve concentration, leading to overall growth and confidence—essential for a healthy life.”
This annual tournament has become a tradition in Garhwa, making both the outgoing and incoming years memorable—its inauguration takes place in the old year, while the closing ceremony happens in the new year. Over the years, countless players have launched their careers from this very ground, while numerous guests have encouraged organizers, players, and spectators alike.
The tournament is regarded as a historic event for Garhwa, offering entertainment, motivation, inspiration, and discipline to the community every year.
