Mithila’s Legend, Dr Birbal Jha Features in Top 20

NEW DELHI: Dr Birbal Jha with the 5th position next to JB Glossinger features in the Top-20 self-help author celebrities in India wherein Deepak Chopra ranks the first position, according to Celebnetworth.

The celeb Dr Jha’s best-ever self-help book – ‘Celebrate Your Life’ besides ‘Spoken English Kit’ has sold copies in millions, thereby effecting a social change and impacting the lives of youth very positively and optimistically. 

To his credit, he has more than 30 books on the aspects of English communication skills, personal growth, manual, parenting, culture and society. His intellectual property valued at billions is incredible, and a great asset to himself and the nation alike.  

On the social and professional front, Dr Birbal is credited with having created a revolution in English training with the slogan ‘English for all’ in the country under the banner of British Lingua which he founded in 1993, intending to take the bounties of English skills to the common man of India.

Earlier, a non-fiction book titled ‘The Living legends of Mithila’ featuring the life sketch of 25 leading personalities of the region was published for their social contributions, in which Dr Birbal Jha was accorded the status of the ‘Youngest Living Legend of Mithila’.

The celebrity Dr Birbal is also known as the ‘Paagman of India’ for his cultural initiative ‘Save the Paag Campaign’ that had the central government led by Narendra Modi issuing a postal stamp on paag, the cultural identity of Mithila, in 2017.

The first-ever cultural movement of its kind in history was able to connect more than forty million people from the region under his dynamic and social leadership.  

Apart from top communication skills trainer and Managing Director of British Lingua which has been able to help improve the lifestyles of millions of students who were initially deprived of English education and employability skills, Dr Birbal Jha is a noted author, social entrepreneur, lyricist, linguist, etymologist, columnist, social thinker-worker, cultural activist and crusader all rolled into one.

The scholar Dr Birbal devised the unique andragogical manual- English SIM standing for Structural-cum-Interactive Method for his training program, coining the slogan ‘English for all’ that has brought and benefitted millions of learners under his umbrella.

 In recognition of his expertise, the Government of Bihar entrusted him with implementing the first-ever ‘Spoken English and Capacity Building’ training program for Government High School-teachers, in 2009 that set a benchmark.

 He has been able to bring about noticeable changes to the lives of more than 30 thousand of the poorest of the poor in the state of Bihar where he comes from. His revolutionary step in English education and training has resulted in a great social change in terms of lifestyles and career- orientation.

In the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in Delhi, he headed the first-ever training in Spoken English Skills for those, who were the first points of contact. His efforts were appreciated by all quarters. 

As a child activist, Dr Jha has launched campaigns for the safety, security and well-being of children. In this regard, his songs are so heart-touching, moving and emotive that all and sundry get riveted. Also, he has written a book titled ‘Child Safety’. His writings and works are reflective of his being a prolific writer.

His writings and participation in the ethical movement that seeks to improve and protect the quality of the natural environment give a clear impression of an environmentalist. It won’t be an exaggeration to call him a culturist for his keen interest in diverse aspects of arts, be it music, theatre and so forth.

He has been able to compose wide-ranging lyrics for dozens of songs as a non-professional person or amateur. One of them is Kya Gunah Tha Mere Bache Ka which is uploaded on youtube having views of more than 8 million to date.
