GARHWA: On the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja, the joint devotional anthology “Maa Veena Vadini” was formally released at a special event organized by Kavya‑Anuragi, a platform dedicated to nurturing emerging writers.
The ceremony began with a soulful rendition of “Ya Kundendu Tushar Haar Dhavala…” by Garhwa’s renowned singer Kriti, often regarded as the Lata Mangeshkar of Garhwa. Her performance left the audience deeply emotional.
Addressing the gathering, noted writer Pramod Kumar, a key pillar of Kavya‑Anuragi, said that the initiative aims to inspire literary interest among people and consistently provides a platform for new writers. He added that the launch of “Maa Veena Vadini” would serve as a significant milestone for emerging talents of the region.
Senior litterateur Surendra Kumar Mishra expressed that he once felt literary activities in Garhwa had diminished, but the regular monthly events of Kavya‑Anuragi have revived the creative environment. He described the anthology’s release as a “historic and unforgettable moment” for the district.
Dr. T. Piyush, Director of Sushrut Seva Sansthan, remarked that this was his first time attending a book launch in Garhwa, and considered it a privilege that his writing was part of the collection. He praised the unwavering efforts behind the Kavya‑Anuragi initiative and encouraged literature enthusiasts to join it.
Anthology editor Jaipoorna Vishwakarma said the long-awaited moment had finally arrived. She thanked all contributors for their support, especially Neeraj Shridhar “Swargiya”, whose efforts enabled the book to be released before the idol of Maa Saraswati.

During the program, writers Pramod Kumar, Dr. T. Piyush, Saurabh Kumar Tiwari, Ravi Prakash Patel, Praveen Keshari, Parashuram, and Dharmendra Kumar Pushkar presented their literary works.
The event concluded with a mesmerizing rendition of the patriotic classic “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” by singer Kriti, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Expressing gratitude, music practitioner and Vikas Coaching Centre Director Rajesh Kumar Ambasht said that the presence of respected scholars and well-wishers made the event truly memorable. Significant contributions towards the event’s success came from Rajesh Kumar Ambasht, Pradeep Kumar (Director, Geetansh Film & TV), and Parmeshwar Ji (Proprietor, Parmeshwar Tent House).
The event was conducted by Neeraj Shridhar “Swargiya”, Director of Pandit Harsh Dwivedi Kala Manch, and witnessed a large gathering of literature lovers.
