RANCHI: The State Congress party on Monday once again lashed the Modi government over the ordinances and bills related to farmers like sale of agriculture produce and essential commodities and claimed there would pave the way for corporate to exploit the farmers.
Speaking to “The Garhwa Post” on the opening day of the Monsoon Session, the Congress Party spokesperson Dr. Rakesh Kiran Mahto said that the party state leadership will be vocal about these bills, which are against the farmers and to support the corporate sectors.
The agriculture fabricator state like Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh, Punjab, MP, Haryana will be most affected by these ordinances and bills, therefore we cannot allow the government the way it functions.
The most important thing that the party will do – as it will raise the farmer’s voice in the parliament also and oppose the introduction of the same. The party is opposed to the farmer’s produce trade and commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Ordinance 2020, the farmers (Empowerment and Protection and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Ordinance 2020.
The ordinances seek to provide barrier free trade of farmers produce outside the notified markets and empower them to enter into the sale agreement with private persons for farm products, he added.
