Garhwa: In a significant step toward strengthening its organizational framework at the grassroots level, the Ramyabhoomi Tribal Military Family Welfare Foundation formally constituted district unit committees for Palamu, Garhwa, and Latehar during a key meeting of the Palamu Division Main Executive Committee held on Sunday. The programme took place at Mangalam Hotel in Hur Mod, Garhwa, in the presence of senior members and ex-servicemen from across the division.
The event was successfully organized under the leadership of Ramanuj Gupta, Co-Organizing Secretary, whose efforts ensured the seamless execution of both the committee formation and the foundation’s second monthly gathering for the month. Proceedings of the session were conducted by Bikas Tiwari, Secretary of the Main Executive Committee.
The meeting witnessed enthusiastic participation from former soldiers representing different corners of the Palamu division, who turned up in large numbers despite the prevailing intense summer heat, reflecting their commitment and dedication toward the foundation’s welfare initiatives. During the deliberations, members engaged in detailed discussions over the structure of district-level leadership.
A key point of consensus was the adoption of the designation “District President” in place of earlier proposed titles, ensuring clarity and uniformity across units. After seeking views and suggestions from participants, and following the recommendation of President Baijnath Tiwari, the leadership finalized a comprehensive structure of office-bearers.
The announced positions included District President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Block President. Additionally, a new post of District Vice President was introduced following a proposal from members of the Garhwa unit, which received unanimous approval from all present. Accordingly, district-wise appointments were made, with Ravindra Thakur, Ashok Tiwari, and Ashish Kumar Singh named as District Presidents for Palamu, Garhwa, and Latehar respectively, along with other officials assigned to key roles.
The newly constituted committees were extended heartfelt congratulations by the foundation’s Main Executive Committee and members of the ex-servicemen community. Leaders expressed confidence that these district units will play a crucial role in expanding outreach, strengthening coordination, and advancing welfare measures for soldiers and their families across the region. The programme concluded on a note of unity, discipline, and patriotic spirit.
