Latehar: The Divisional Commissioner, Kumud Sahay, on Tuesday inspected the Manika Circle Office in Latehar district and reviewed key administrative functions, including revenue collection and record maintenance. During the inspection, she expressed satisfaction over the circle’s progress in revenue collection but directed officials to sustain the momentum and ensure that the circle remains among the top performers in the coming months.
Stressing on the need for efficiency, she reviewed pending cases on the e‑Revenue Court portal and instructed officials to ensure time-bound and transparent disposal, especially in matters directly affecting the public. She said delays in public-related cases weaken trust in the administration and must be avoided.
The Commissioner also examined the status of certificate cases and land demarcation work, directing officials to accelerate revenue recovery and avoid any laxity in demarcation processes. She noted that swift settlement of land disputes is essential for maintaining peace and supporting development in the region.
Sahay carried out a detailed check of several important records, including inward–outward registers, service books and cash books, and found many of them needing updates. Issuing a warning to concerned staff, she instructed immediate correction and emphasized that negligence in maintaining records will not be tolerated.
She further directed officials to focus on surpassing revenue targets, expedite pending e‑Revenue Court cases, prioritise land demarcation, and keep all official registers and files updated and well-organized. Highlighting the importance of public service delivery, she asked officers to work with sensitivity and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible citizen.
Latehar Deputy Commissioner Utkarsh Gupta, Additional Collector Rama Ravidas, Block Development Officer Sandeep Kumar, Circle Officer Aman Kumar, and other officials were present during the inspection.
