NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an urgent telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to review the rapidly evolving regional situation. During the discussion, Prime Minister Modi conveyed India’s deep concern over recent developments and underscored the immediate need to prioritise the safety and protection of civilians.
He reaffirmed India’s long‑standing position calling for an early cessation of hostilities and the restoration of stability in the region.
In response, Prime Minister Netanyahu briefed Prime Minister Modi on Israel’s assessment of the security environment and the factors driving current operations. He assured that Israel remains mindful of humanitarian considerations while addressing security challenges.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of maintaining regular communication and monitoring the situation closely, reflecting India’s continued diplomatic engagement amid rising tensions.
