NEW DELHI: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) strongly condemns the way the Congress MLAs prevented a private member bill seeking prevention of illegal conversions from being presented in the Legislative Assembly in Chhattisgarh.
Reacting on the same the VHP joint general secretary Dr. Surendra Jain today said that Chhattisgarh has become the biggest centre of anti-national conspiracies of illegal conversions.
The X’ian missionaries want to liquidate and annihilate the unique identity of this Vanavasi/tribal majority State. Not only this, but the anti-national Naxalite activities have also been flourishing only with the support of the Church.
Despite this, opposition to this bill by the Congress proves that due to vested interests, they can work against national and social interests and the interests of the people of the state.
Dr. Jain said that the Congress should remember, Mahatma Gandhi had said that illegal conversions would be banned as soon as Swaraj was achieved. Sardar Patel, intervening in the debate of the Constituent Assembly, had also said that if Article 25 was misused, then a central law would inevitably/inescapably be made to stop it.
After independence, the Congress itself had enacted anti-conversion laws in some states. Till then, the Congress was under the aura and influence of Mahatma Gandhi. But Sonia Gandhi’s Congress is now behaving contrary to Mahatma Gandhi’s Congress.
These allegations are now gaining strength that the Church in Bharat has been doing the work of conversion under the patronage of Sonia Gandhi. It has now become clear that due to the suicidal politics of appeasement, the pseudo-secular fraternity of Bharat has been encouraging illegal conversions instead of stopping it! The anti-national activities of the Jihadis and the Church have been going on under the protection of these pseudo-secularists. They cannot be expected to stop illegal conversions.
Now the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) more vigorously raises the demand for a central law to stop illegal horizontal religious conversions. This behaviour of the Congress gives more force to this demand. The VHP appeals to the central government that they must fulfil the unfinished promises of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel! The country expects them only to complete such unfinished works, he added.
