Operation Sindoor: An “Understanding” Seems Undeclared Victory

The world shall continue to debate over the matter, whether who wins the war? Many of us still think that India should have taken ‘Operation Sindoor’ to an escalated level of hostility, perhaps all out war. Let’s ponder why the current “Understanding” is undeclared Indian victory, but not the dictated peace as some of, or the West are trying to insinuate.

I still believe that “Operation Sindoor” not over. It continues in a transmogrified avatar as long term diplomatic, trade, water and economic offensive with clear strategic objectives of imposing sustained heavy costs on Pakistan population which is largely or more than 76 percent dependent on agriculture. India’s non-kinetic options are founded upon globally accepted moral and legally tested norms. It gives Pakistan almost no room to extricate itself from an unseen but hard felt deadly “Labyrinthine formation”.

The paradigm shifts away from the unacceptable status -quo will weigh heavily to Pakistan military establishments and its strategists. They will now have to junk the pursuit of a low intensity “Jihad” by chicanery against India.

We often been look at the Lense of the West or asked to believe what they want us to believe in; ever since India has got the so-called Independence in the form of “Transfer of Power”. India must look upwards since it has redefined the lines of tolerance with our neighbour specially with our wester front.

Though, it has signalled that Pakistan’s nuclear blackmail will not deter it from acting on its soil against the so-called “Impregnable wall” which is none to Pakistan military and the event of Operation Sindoor was the evident of India’s commitments towards the nation. India has struck hard in Rawalpindi – the cradle of Pakistan military machine for its obvious reason which is linked to Pakistan military leaderships – Asim Munir & Co.

Gen Munir has been demoted metaphorically to the level of his primary qualification that of a fermenting “Mullah”. This diminishing will have a long-term ramification for Pakistan army’s claims to a superior status within the state. Even civil society in Pakistan has, in the past few days, been witness to a visible humbling of its military’s claim that it has the most effective and credible defender of Pakistan state interest. It is now possible to contemplate a future in in it where their army is relegated to the barracks.

India may revise its “NFU” nuclear posture to underline the point that India reserves the right to response with overwhelming force if the situation calls for such a response. Indeed, even if this not under the consideration for now; can be imperative that India will, in immediate or near term to enforce the deterrence against its adversaries at two fronts.

The kinetic response to India’s Operation Sindoor has been halted on proviso that Pakistani military’s reliance on the terror will now attract the wrath of a full spectrum declaration of ‘war’ by India. This appeared to be that India is no more in a position into advert things as it has happened in past. Modi is fully prepared to escalate without warning in the face of plausible prospective Pakistan sponsored terrorism. The boiler plate declarations of innocence and sophist operational deniability by Pakistan military will no longer an acceptable defence which will still India’s hand.

The new normal drawn by India shows that Modi is institutionalising a new punitive doctrine that guides other states like Isreal, U.S and Russia. Extending further, he has already said that “terror & talks cannot go hand in hand. In his recent statement, water and blood will not flow together. So, that’s the deterrent he sets out – not only for Pakistan, but for the world at large too. While it isn’t an era of war – Modi will not hesitate to pursue a just war to defend India’s territorial integrity.

Last, but not the least India’s pursuit of anti – terror objectives continue through a variety of unconventional means to redraw Pakistan’s cartographic map. It would be imprudent to list them here but suffice to say that the Pakistan state could be staring at an existential crisis if it doesn’t mend its way further.
