Satyendra Nath Tiwari is back as a member of legislative assembly of the state of Jharkhand, but he hasn’t had the luxury of stepping back especially given the febrile and fractious nature of the local politics. This is so, because many of BJP’s local leadership didn’t support him during the 2024 assembly election. He skirmished like a fighter against all odds and evils, people voted him to power expecting a great change, “says Anuj Tiwari, a senior journalist.
He may be victorious from the most severe challenge and has emerged a political leader in his own right acquiring the authority to go ahead with the fighting alone the battle of the people. Self-effacing and given to keeping a low profile, the 63-year-old contractor-turned-politician in his own way brought to the forefront amidst the crisis, he added further.

I find him a different SN Tiwari after his defeat in 2019, who appeared ready to sacrifice the deal at the altar of coalition knowing that the current regime is more powerful than the last. Therefore, we all see fighting all around be it in assembly or in the street so far. Frankly, I don’t see any BJP leader seen to be upfront on rank and files matters and that seems to be good for the party, (which seems to be meddling its internal affairs) and public at large, “Anuj Tiwari concluded that”.
Transformational leadership is a leadership style that focuses on inspiring and motivating people to find the way and lead lives as per their own choices. While transformational leaders are often admired, they don’t seek out praise or adulation because their focus is on doing what’s best for their people.
Risk-taking is calculated based on gathering intelligence from team members, the leader’s own instincts and experience. Decisions are made with an eye toward the organization’s values, vision and objectives.
Satyendra Nath Tiwari, (63), three-time MLA from Garhwa, aspired to be leader of its choice that often seems courageous since he defeated giant politicians like Girinath Singh and Mithilesh Thakur. Girinath Singh, who represented Garhwa from 1995 to 2009 (until declared defeated in 2009). While Mithilesh Thakur, a powerful minister of Hemant Soren govt from 2019 to 2024, said to be the 2nd in command after CM Soren during his stint as MLA and Minister of PWD, Water Supply, Excise and Prohibition.
It is also a fact that SN Tiwari has to do a lot to prove him right amidst the crisis being created by his opposition in the constituency, as an attempt is being made a narrative that he is failed to deliver, however, it has also seemed biased by not giving him adequate time and resources to fulfil the aspirations of the residents. The entire ecosystem is of the government and outrooting them is not an easy thing to do.
Even a section of his own party colleague unhappy with him, who they are apparently pulling him back from the spot.
