RANCHI: Newly elected government intend to start filling government vacancies from December itself. Chief minister Hemant Soren has hinted of the government’s keenness on fulfilling its job promises, the failure of which had led to resentment amongst aspirants this year.
In the first cabinet meeting held within hours of the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday in Ranchi, Hemant announced that the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) will publish a calendar of its recruitment examinations in December and also complete the appointment process which has been pending due to the imposition of the model code of conduct and other bureaucratic reasons.
Sources in the government hinted that nearly 30,000 posts will be filled within a span of three months following the directive of the chief minister.
“The examinations of both JSSC and JPSC might start from January next year based on the calendar. Instructions have been given to both the commissions regarding this by the chief minister’s office,” said a source.
It is expected that a high-level decision can be taken soon on the release of the results of the pending Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Competitive Examination in JSSC and the competitive examination conducted for 26,001 posts of Assistant Acharya in the primary schools of the state.
“With the removal of the model code of conduct provision, JPSC and JSSC will start releasing results of the several competitive examinations pending for months,” added the source.
Some of the exams whose results will be published soon include the matriculation level Combined Competitive Examination and Jharkhand Mahila Parveshika Appointment Examination etc. At the same time, the dates for conducting the Jharkhand Intermediate Level Examination, Para Medical Competitive Examination, Jharkhand Regional Worker Appointment Competitive Examination and Jharkhand Secretariat Stenographer Competitive Examination may be announced next month.
Soon after the appointment of the chairman of JPSC, all the pending examinations will be completed. About half a dozen competitive examinations are pending due to the absence of a chairman.
