Haryana Govt Appoints 642 more Medical Officers

CHANDIGARH: In a series of arrangements being made to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infections, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday approved the issuance of appointment letters to 642 more medical officers by the Health Department. The selected doctors have been asked to join their department within 15 days.

Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Anil Vij said that the appointment letters have been issued to these medical officers on the remaining seats of merit list of March 2020 recruitment.

The Health Minister said that in the last three months, 954 medical officers have been given appointment letters. In March, 312 doctors were given letters of appointment. In this way, out of 954 medical officers, 166 specialist doctors and 788 MBBS qualifying doctors will be made available in the Health Department.
